As Brent said it states fastrack to standard o which is a little taller track and the pins are a little thicker but if you want to you can make a O-27 transition piece to O by just widening the end of the track where the pins go just a little actually best way is to take a straight piece and tap O pins into it lightly till you have it about 1/2 way then connect you transition piece to it.

Chad,
I use all FasTrack on my layout, but I've seen photos of layouts utilizing both FasTrack and tubular and they look great. I believe there are ways to use both styles together in neat ways. I would think the FasTrack could be used for rural lines and the tubular for city lines or road crossings. Also, you could use the tubular at passenger stations, yards, or operating areas where you might want to use a different style of ballast or wooden planks. As previously stated, the adaptors work and can be found, and it's all about having fun.
Regards,
Joe
lionroar88 Lionel used to offer a FasTrack to Tubular adapter track 6-12040, however it is no listed in the latest catalog, so it may be discontinued. If you do a Google Search you may be able to locate one somewhere.http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Lionel+FasTrack+6-12040

The transition section won't work with O27. It is for FasTrack-O31. I'd just replace the 027 with Fastrack gradually if it is too much all at once. If FasTrack wasn't so $$ and I didn't need as much as I do, I'd dump the 031 tubluar all together on my layout.
Hi CHAD,
On my second layout I had 2 ovals in fasttrack and 2 ovals in 0-27. It worked for me giving you some of the old and some of the new. There is a transition piece for fasttrack and 0-27 that you can buy and some people like it. Just depends what you want your layout to look like. This is my 3rd layout now and I switched to all Fasttrack. I like this look and wanted a new start to a layout that I hope will last me quite a few years? Anyway its all about running your trains and what look you are happy with. Keep those trains a running.
