I purchased the helicopter on flatcar from Geller and I am very satisfied with their product. I would buy again.
Hi Laz,
Thanks for the Geller Trains site, they have beautiful goodies.
Take care,
Ralph
Gabesdad...I've been in it, and it is not that big...
The EC-145 is almost 50' long w/ rotor, and almost as wide(@ rotor - 36') as a 40' boxcar is long.

I know there is a difference between 1:43 and 1:48, but this helicopter is bigger than my train engine, and I know for a fact that in real life, the type of helicopter I bought is not near the size of an engine. I bought a EC-145 helicopter, because I wanted to replicate an aeromedical helicopter close to my home that the hospital I work for operates. I've been in it, and it is not that big...
GELLER TRAINs has them on flat cars they are for Army trains. If interested here is the site.

Helicopters are quite large aircraft in real life, and while O scale is 1/48 alot of rolling stock and locomotives out there are smaller than that scale or were selectively compressed. You can see the noticable difference in size between the classics and modern day true scale models. You may have to locate the helicopter only near buildings or objects that are on the larger size or 1/43 scale. I do not place my 1/43 vehicles next to the 1/48 or 1/50th vehicles because of the size differences.
I ordered a 1:43 scale helicopter from EBAY recently and when it arrived, much to my dismay, it is much, much larger than the other items that I am preparing for my train display. I have purchased several 1:43 cars for the track, and they seem to look proportional to the track. I know that O gauge is really 1:48, but the price of some of those items is outrageous, especially some of the firetrucks. Any help that can be offered is greatly appreciated. The helicopter i bought was a Sky Pilot brand.
