I did not know that I am missing 1982 and 1983 but that may be because dad did not think of getting these for my son till 1984 when he was 5. Guess I will try to get the 1982 and 1983 cars now that I know. Kevin

Hi Kevin,
I have a copy of Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains 1970-1991 Volume II. It covers Lionel special produtions. It states that there was no production for this series in 1987. The series ran from 1982 to 1991 and included 10 items. Your list includes the last eight. The 1982 car was the 0780 Lionel Railroader Club Box Car. The 1983 car was the 0781 Lionel Railroader Club TOFC flatcar with two semi-trailers.

I have a set of Railroad Club Special Edition cars and engine starting from 1984 and it goes up to the engine 1992. I can't seem to find a car from 1987. Does anyone know if they made a 1987 car and if so what was it. My dad colected these for my son and I don't think he would of left one out. Here is what I have.
