American Flyer Knuckle Coupler
Posted by AF53 on Saturday, March 19, 2011 3:01 PM

Need some help here, I have a 1953 Heavyweight passenger car whose coupler needs replacing. I've never done this before. Any advice?

Thanks - Ray

Ray,

Use a small pair of needlenose pliers to straighten the two tabs that hold the coupler just enough to remove the coupler.

Thanks Jim, I might have time Sunday to try it out.
