Reconstituting plastic parts on turnouts
Posted by FJ and G on Monday, July 19, 2004 7:44 AM
Over the weekend I continued handlaying track and tried Bondo, but it was not nearly as strong as JB Weld for the frog.

The idea occurred to me that if you are using turnouts that have plastic parts for sections of rail or frog, and if they have worn down, you can use JB Weld and then reshap with dremel and sanders and cutoff discs (I use several tips when I'm shaping)
