I still say if you get tech support they might know od a lionel reissue with tmcc that has a pul-mor motor

But then it wouldn't be perfect.
But, I might take it apart and see how close i can get it to original.
Are they rusted to the point of not being repairable ?
If only surface rust seems like a Dremmel cleaning and some new primer & paint would be in order.

Thanks.
I have the drawing and have seen the Link to North Lima Trains.
They link is for the silver sideframes, and I do not see the black ones on their website.
Can I swap out the side frames?
not sure if this is any help but here is a diagram of the complete engine also you might try this as you can get a lot more help if you call Lionel insist to talk with the tech reps no matter how much the young ladies try to help the guys back there can answer your questions and may be able to help you. There great. its just hard to get back to them. you may have to be on hold about 20 minutes till they get to you. But its worth it usually as they may be able to tell you another truck that will work

Bill
Good morning all!
Since you all have been so helpful in the past, I hope you can help me with this issue, as well.
I have a NYC GP-9 #2383 with TMCC and there is rust on top of the trucks. The replacement trucks are neither available from Lionel or Jeff at The Train Tender (a BIG help in the past!).
Jeff asked me a few questions that I can't answer...
How are these cam-equipped trucks different from standard postwar trucks?
Do I need to order the TMCC trucks to swap them out?
Can I swap the cam and other sensors to standard post-war trucks?
Does anyone know where I can get the TMCC trucks?
Can I swap them from any other loco with TMCC (and sideframes)?
Please Help! Thanks so much!
