The Pink Turkey Lives On........

The infamous Lady Lionel set of 1957 has been called a number of things through the years, but for a marketing disaster, it has done quite well for itself.

Besides the value of a truly original set, there have been many reproductions through the years, including (2) from K-Line, (1) from MTH, (2) from Williams, and of course (2) reissues from Lionel themselves.

Now, MTH is offering a tinplate "Girls" train as part of it's 2011 RTR line, go figure.

The only piece of the girls' train that I have or would want is the "lilac" hopper car.  The color actually passes for a very slightly purplish gray, which, in any other train, looks quite prototypical.

If your talking steam yes 2 from Williams but they also did a GG-1 with freight and a GG-1 with passenger as they did with steam so its actually 4 different sets by Williams
