Forum gals

It's too bad there ain't more gals here. I'm on my screenwriting hiatus, posting my first post to a screenwriter forum and a gal replied already.

I think we ought to start a campaign to encourage parents to give toy trains to their little girls so that when they are older, we have more women to chat with and romance.

Welcome back, Dave, Gee! That was short....it must not be as easy as you thought it would be. As for the ladies....well you can't fight nature. If you want to meet and hang out with really good looking late twenty and ealy thirty something women do something THEY like to do. I had a lot of really pretty and very nice young lady friends when I used to do aerobics classes at the health club. Of the ones that have visited us at home the only one that had a young son had any interest in my trains...and she really wanted to see them and show them to her little son. I've never met a lady that wasn't interested in trying to run my trains if I offered to show them how. Believe me a health club is a much better place to meet people than in some seedy book store. Besides the exercise might do you some good since this is such a sedentary hobby. Odd-d

What if they made a train just for girls; you know, with a pink steam locomotive and pastel freight cars and a white transformer with gold trim....

David, go to the "gro" during the week during the day. Since I have retired, if I need something from the gro, I run over during the day. Be surprised how many ladies will stop and ask you a question or try to help you [and I'm wearing a wedding band]. I had one lady the other day try to get "cozy" while we both were getting Splender off the shelf. [;)]

From my own personal experience, I know that women can be very emotional when trains are involved. My wife was excited when she went for her first cab ride at 100 mph. She was very happy when she saw my railroad paycheck. She laughed (at me) when she saw my train room in my bachelor pad. She is shocked (and to a point horrified) when we go to the hobby shop together. And sometimes she gets very angry when I spill the beans on how much I spent at a model train show. So - anyone looking to get women and trains mixed be forewarned.
