Guys,
You are correct but CTT will not feature construction in the magazines they say. The modelers here on this forum also have talent and the resources to build and document the construction processI think,

You are correct; I have seen several articles written by modelers in the last year alone. I think it was Ogaugeoverlord who said suitable articles need to be submitted. The staff doesn't know about these unless they are sent in.
I like the balance in CTT. Most of what you hi-railers do is beyond my artistic ability, but it does push me to try more. Also, I kinda like the toy train aspect of the accessories like my sawmill, lumber loader, etc.
Keep up the good work, CTT.

I think Carl & Co have brought us the most balance to CTT that I've seen in a while.
We can always do a Show Us Your Benchwork special on Sunday Photo Fun.
Documenting the process of building a layout through photography and writing is not as simple as you may think. You also have to be able to distill the construction and creative process into three or four magazine articles. It takes careful planning, copious notes, and good photography to pull it off while working under a deadline.

I really like the project layouts featured in CTT. Very few layouts featured in magazines show construction from beginning to end. The project layouts in CTT are always well done because the magazine has the talent and the resources to build and document the construction process. These project layouts have ranged from Dennis Brennan's very realistic layout to the Postwar style Retro Railroad, so there is variety as well. Personally, I find these layout articles to be one of my favorite parts of the magazine.

In most cases, most don't document the steps like CTT takes the time to do. I personally plan to but if its up to there quality will be to seen guessing it will take at least 2-3 years because of my lack of funds to put into it at any given time and the size I plan to build 8' X 16' .

I know this will most likely not go well with people here but I received my copy of CTT today. I just resubscribed after letting it go do to the fact it did not offer much for the HiRailer. I remember after a few HiRail layouts took over the CTT pages the other half of this hobby went and CTT went back to their roots. Now to my point, why is it that the employees of CTT need to make a layout when there are so many layouts out there to learn from? are there not people in the hobby with these types of layouts?Come on guys let’s get them layouts feature in CTT!!!!
