Lionel has posted the new 2011 Ready-to-Run Catalog on their website, www.lionel.com
looks like they cut back on their offerings... and it appears the R-T-R is going to be mostly special run items? Also looks like they may be bringing back the Lionelville Buildings... hope they bring back the Hotel because I really really wanted that one!
Yes, a pretty thin offering with a lot oif re-runs from last year. I think Lionel probably had a lot of merchandise leftover at dealers after their production delays of 2010 (still continuing).
Dealers can only stock so much stuff.
I believe there are some neat offerings. I did not see the hotel (I really wanted it too); however, they have a new Pharmacy building advertised. They also have some new figures I have not seen before.

Looks like they are rerunning things they can make again but with new colors and road names. Seemed good to me. Better than a silver and red Santa Fe year after year.

I believe that s the first location that began serving Coca-Cola.
On another note I was surprised that Lionel did not have something NASCAR since the Daytona 500 is only a couple weeks down the rfoad.

88 - I think I'm gonna pull the "trigger" on the Rio Grande General Set for the littlest princess. She needs something to pull her horse car collection with. Also like the freight platform.
Seayak - They did. Check out the boxcar with the big 7. That was the one-race paintscheme that was run in the Nationwide Series last season.
I just checked out the online catalog and found a few items that peaked my interest, the Strasburg RR cars, and the CNJ set. Seems like Lionel is trying to get more customers this year, even have Thomas the Tank engine.

Broke down and preordered the "Hallow's Eve" engine and cars as well as the "Dementer's" car for my wife's "Hogwarts" set.
