Too bad its an absurd asking price!
The pieces are wonderfully made but IMHO its value is as folk art, and not a toy train. Still can you picture a big Voltamp Interurban running on that!!!
Is it Voltamp? I didn't know what it was when I first saw it (Carlisle and Finch came to mind, but then I saw the 3rd rail).
Really neat items; first time I have even seen good, close photographs of that old style track. And check out that swing bridge! These don't look like homemade pieces to me: I bet they would be worth something to the right person, but ebay is probably not the right venue to find that person--especially not with a 10 grand opening bid!
I just wish they'd post pics to the auction of the items today rather than an old yellowed photo from when they were new!
