Tyco - Freight Unloading Box Car
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, July 12, 2004 3:28 PM
Hello....I've have a question about this Box Car.It's a freight unloading box car. It's name is Burlington and is red in color.I hope someone can help.I just purchased one on ebay. When you slide the doors closed you can see a glue spot where the door was glued open. Was this done at the factory?.The Box Car is perfect in every other way.I just started collecting Tyco trains, not to run, just to display and I wanted to have all my pieces with no alterations. Thanks in advance for any help I get....Swaffield.

The box car door was glued open at the factory. Somedody "fixed" the door to make it close.

I've got one on my layout; it works OK with the Tyco unloading track. It does have a tendency to send the crates flying.
