Removing Scratches from a Lionel diesel shell

If the paint is scrtached all the way through to the plastic it won't polish out. If that is flat black you cannot rub it out. You may better off buying a number 00 camel hair brush and touch up paint and lightly repair the scratch. If it is flat paint there may be many choices. Floquil steam power black may match.

Do you think that I would be able to polish a few scratches out of my GP-7's cab side.  Its a Lionel NYC GP-7, painted black.

It seems that the handrail put a nice little scratch in the side of the cab when I took it off.
