I'm using K-Line Super Snap, inside blacken rail, on my 22ft by 10 ft layout and love the track. I have two main passenger tracks with two long sidings on the upper level and planing on a lower level freight line with yards as well.

Never followed any particular track plan other than my own design, track, switches, power tracks, all easy to work with and conductivity never a problem. I'm also using the Lionel 153 Block signals with the 153C contactors, the track and its ties keep the contactors well in place compared to the conventional 3 rail tubular track, although I'm thinking about going over to Z-Stuff signals for more realism.

Good luck with your layout!

Have you seen the ad for the new track planning book by Kalmbach? The people who do CTT magazine.

Lionel had some track plans in their older operating manuals that came with sets.

Thanks Lee...I have two 4x8 plywood pieces that I've made a platform from (in L-shape) and I'm looking to start a good layout with the K-line track.  I have several switches, and lots of track...just need a good simple starter plan to get the trains running.  If there's any references that you can point me to for such an O-scale layout design (to begin my creative process) I'd appreciate it.

Welcome emk,

K-Line's supersnap track is basically O gauge tubular track with fancy end connectors, so I am thinking that most 031 style track plans should work with the K-Line track.

I have some K-Line shadow rail track in 031, the straights are the same size as Lionel's tubular track, not sure on the curves but I would think that they are the same.

I don't follow track plans that closely, I look at track plans then make my own plans for my track. Also I have found out that through the years track plans in books don't always come out as planned, you may have to make a small adjustment to the plans to make the track fit your layout area.

K Line Supersnap Track Plans

Does anyone have track layout plans for this track?  I'd like to build an L-shaped layout (8x12) and am looking for some detailed ideas.
