Thanks. I see it now. The delete option seems to appear only when a deletion is possible; so I couldn't find it before when I went looking for it.

Right now, as I see it, this forum can use every thread & contribution it gets.
lionelsoni Bob, I was told above that I could at least delete my last posting; but I can find no way to do that. If that is truly possible, can you tell us how?

Bob,
It suddenly dawned on me that you may not be finding the way to delete you most recent post. There are two "buttons" at the upper right of your post, "Reply" and "More". The More Button has a drop down box that includes the words "Delete" and "Edit" which remain available to the person who posted until someone replies to the post. After that first reply, the post can no longer be deleted, but it still can be edited by the person who posted it. Incidentally, any reply, even if it does not quote your post in any manner, will still eliminate your opportunity to delete it thereafter.

Yep, you can only use the Edit feature to Delete a post that you have initiated or as a Reply to someone else's post as long as your post has not been replied to.

Once I replied to my "Let's see if I can delete a new post with no replies" post with "Here goes nothing", I could no longer delete that first post "Let's see if I can delete a new post with no replies". But, I could delete the second post "Here goes nothing" because no one had replied to it yet. I didn't actually delete that second post but the Edit feature was permitting me to if I chose. Now, I am quite sure that I cannot delete this post, but I will try to.

Moderators can move a thread or delete a thread, but not merge a thread.

I still would like to know how to do it.
Yes but it only works on the last post and it has to be yours so if you post right after me then you can go in and remove that post i was mistaken about removing children sorry

Do you mean the "More" button in the upper right corner? The only choices I see there are "Send to Friend", "Report Abuse", "Add this post as a favorite", and "Add this forum as a favorite".
Okay heres how it can be done you have to be last poster and then you can delete the post you did by hitting the button more options I was wrong on deleting the whole post I thought I did it but guess what it was i started a topic and it posted twice and I went in and deleted it befor any others so that may have been it. i do remember deleting a post thou just a few weeks ago
I (and perhaps others) would be interested to know how to do that. We could at least advise double-posters to delete one before it got any replies. Of course, one possibility is to cut and paste the less-numerous replies to the other thread before deleting.
Bob recently I have been able to go in and delete a thread I started and all its children so it can be done.
but it would be better if CTT could and bring over any reply's to the one from the other so all reply's would still be there
Right now there are two of these active. This is not an uncommon occurrence. It sure would be nice if there were a way to merge them. Even the ability for the originator to delete one, which we used to have, would be useful. CTT people, is there anything that can be done?
