Actually they are too fast to do well what they are good at, which is to protect your transformer and wiring.  You can get TVSs from electrical distributors like Mouser.  Use the search function to get much more information about part numbers and installation.

OK... SINCE I AM NEW ON THIS SERVICE, CAN I ASK WHERE CAN I GET A TRANSIENT-VOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR?

 HAVE BEEN USING QUICK ACTION CIRCUIT BREAKERS, BUT  THE COMMENTS FROM READERS, IMPLIES THESE ARE NOT FAST ENOUGH!
