The Model Railroader, Model Builder & Miniature Railroad Magazines 1938-48

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum... just looking for advice from anyone who might know if there is a collector base for The Model Railroader, Model Builder & Miniature Railroad Magazines from 1938-48?

I no longer need my collection and thought someone else might enjoy them.

thank you,

Mike

I guess "maybe" would be the best answer. You could try listing them on ebay, maybe do a separate listing for each of the three magazines. However don't be surprised if they don't sell. There are probably more people looking for a particular issue or several issues, than are looking for 10-12 years all together. So you could then list each one separately and just accept that only some will sell.

If you're not that worried about getting money for them, donating them to a local organization might be a good idea. There's a good chance a local college or high school may have a model railroad club that might be interested in them.

Thanks for the advice, Stix

I'm going to make a list of the issue #... if anyone would like me to email them the list, please send me a message.

thank you,

Mike

The Model Builder has a collector base.  They will sell on eBay, even though they have been electronically reproduced.

Thank you, Rob

Hopefully, I can find someone who might like my entire collection without going the ebay route.

I have many Model Builder and Model Railroader magazines from the 30's and 40's but don't have them all. I'd be interested but you may just have more luck trying to sell an entire collection. I bought some of mine on ebay that were listed by the complete year of that particular magazine. I'm not really at a point where I need to spend a lot of money on more magazines right now. The last time I did that I spent $300 and my wife went nuts!

Thanks for all the advice, I will list each issue individually on eBay.
