Making a curved Viaduct from RealTrax Question.
Posted by SleeperN06 on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 8:23 PM

I built this homemade “Curved Viaduct” last year for my Christmas layout. I wanted something narrow that would not obstruct the view of my wife’s porcelain houses and still be strong enough to support the Lionel Polar Express.

This year I’m changing out a bridge to the curved viaduct with a MTH Arch Bridge and I’m having a little trouble with the tubular track. I ordered new RealTrax to replace the track on the platform and 2 adapter pieces to connect to the viaduct, but I like the looks of the RealTrax so much that I’m now thinking of also replacing the tubular track on the viaduct, but I’ll still have the width problem.

Anybody got any suggestions? Is it possible to cut the sides off the roadbed?
