Does anyone know if there's anyone who makes the number decals for pre-war American Flyer cars? Specifically, the 478 boxcar, 480 Shell tanker, and 484 caboose. I'm going to finish restoring my Royal Blue train set (and redo some things completely), and have everything but the numbers for the cars. Google hasn't made it any easier so far.

I had to make my own numbers. I used laser decal paper. Easy enough to do.
I wonder if maybe Microscale would have something close?
Ya know that's a good point. I never thought of it before but I've only seen repros of engine numbers. Anyhoo, you might try Woodland Scenics dry transfers, they may have something close. I'd recommend taking at least one car to the hobby shop to be sure anything is a good match.
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
I have purchased the numbers at the York Train show in the past, But I think Port Line hobbies is carrying them now, I'll do a little research an get you the places I got them before. They are out there so you should not have to make your own.
I found the places where I have purchased decals and stickers for my Pre War Flyer trains. I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the links!
Fred's Train Parts looks like my best bet, since the others seem to focus mostly on the post-war S-gauge with very little for pre-war O-gauge. After some quick browsing, it looks he has a lot of AF lettering available.
I got a response from Fred's Train Parts today, and he's got the numbers I need. Thanks for the recommendation!
Here's a good source for the Prewar Flyer Parts you need.
Check the website and look under the AF parts for sale.
Most everything is available from this source.
