If you want a dealer to install it, he will have a set charge for labor.
To explore this more, go to the MTH Web Site, download the DCS Upgrade Manual (it's free) and see if it is something you want to try. I've done five, it lets me to buy any make locomotive.

You can run Atlas TMCC locos with the MTH DCS system but you will need the Lionel TMCC command base connected to the DCS TIU base. I run TMCC locos and conventional locos using my MTH DCS controller and TIU. With this set-up I can run both TMCC locos and MTH PS-2 locos at the same time on the same mainline.

I'm not a DCS expert but I'm certain you would have to add lionels TMCC or Legacy if you want remote control. MTH is the only company with DCS.

I am new to O scale, and I have been loving all the great stuff I have been finding online about the products I have seen other than the MTH stuff. I looked at the atlas O page and saw some great locos, and I am wondering if the can be made compatible to my DCS system.
