It seems like the circuit breaker is permanently open.  You can replace it with a 15-ampere automatically-resetting automotive circuit breaker that you can find a most auto-parts stores.

Bob is right.  He told me the same on one early model I had.  I have "converted" all of mine.  Easy to do.  They seem to work faster and better than the Lionel ones.  Take off cover and on the left side [from the way you operate it], you will see the wire from the U terminals going to the breaker.  I solder in a blade type fuse holder in place of the breaker.  Buy the blade type automotive breaker and plug it in.

• I am looking for information on the ZW transformer. I have an old one that was working fine. Now when I put a motor on the track I get a short light. The breaker dose blow but the light comes on and I get no power.Can anyone tell what might be the problem or tell me where to get an exploded view of the ZW. If not maybe information on rebuilding the transformer.
