It is time, once again for me to come to this learned crowd for any advice. I recently purchased a set of Weaver ABA FA2s on auction. These are older models and are powered with Pittman Motors with chain drives. The details are great and for the price, even if these were made into dummy units, I made out well.
The question I have is does anyone have any experience with either these particular engines, or motors? If so, any advice would be much appreciated. The paperwork from Weaver that is in the boxes has the drawing of the engines, and the parts order information, but no information on the motor or the care of the engine. Also, does anyone have any experience in converting these to TMCC? How about adding sound/smoke, etc.

He made his own replacement sprocket but it looks like MicroMark carries replacement chain and sprockets. Not sure what, if anything, I'd use on the chain for lube. I think they may have been plastic but not sure. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks for the information guys. I went to the site and looked over the photos. Doesn't seem too much to deal with. Just have to hope the sprockets are in good shape. I will report with any issues when I get these puppies on the rails and under power. Anyone with further suggestions, by all means, I am humbled and certainly welcome the information.Dennis

Stock Drive Products makes all types of roller chain and sprockets. Just Google them and dig around their web site. They make all kinds of gears and couplings and all related products.
