Lionel Amtrak MPC era passenger cars?
Posted by Jodo Kast 3 on Monday, October 11, 2010 1:23 PM

Hey everyone,

Just looking for some quick info.

I`m looking into buying the 1975 Lionel Amtrak ABA F3`s and was wondering if Lionel released any passenger cars to go with them that year or in the next few years? I`ve been looking online but have come up empty. Any help would be great.

I checked the out-of-print Greenberg's Roadname Guide and it shows Lionel just made the 6403/4/5/6/10/11/12-series cars 1976-1977 to match the F units. Oh, these were the short streamlined cars.

I think it was in the 80s that Lionel made an aluminum set to go behind the Amtrak GG1. I think these would look pretty good behind the F units. Sorry I don't have the catalog numbers or anything else of use.
