As Don stated they are replacement wheels for the originals that were showing signs of rust / corrosion. Strange that Lionel would not include step by step directions for changing the wheels. Since the problem is covered by Lionel's warranty I would think you can send the loco to the Lionel service station in Ohio for repairs at not cost to you.

Mike, I don't have one, a friend of mine does however. Initially when the engines where first shipped a large number of the engines had corrosion on the wheels. So Lionel promised that they would send out replacements. Guess they did. Should have included directions on how to replace them., one would think!
