I checked the 2005 K-Line catalog and it looks like there is about an inch between the outside rails and the superstructure. It looks like it might be able to handle a scale PS-1 boxcar, but I don't think a double-stack would work. Of course, a handy andy might be able to trim the superstructure for a topless look and avoid height problems ...

There is one on E-Bay right now with alot of pictures. It appears to be a standard extension bridge, and I would doubt highly that any equipment would be too wide to fit through the truss. As for height, as long as you aren't running stacked intermodals you should be OK.
Could someone tell me the size of the opening? I don't want to buy it, if my trains won't go thru. Thanks.
