Lionel and Williams 20th Century Limited Streamliners
Posted by PhrozenAce on Friday, September 10, 2010 10:47 PM

Hello Forum,

There are two 20th Century Limited Aluminum Streamliner sets listed on ebay now.  One is made by Williams and the other is made by Lionel.  Based on the listed prices, can anyone tell me if they think these sets are priced right or are priced high?  BTW, the seller of the Williams set told me he would sell it for $275 shipped.

Thanks,

Bernard

Like anything else, if you shopped around online you might find them for a bit less...but if the price is reasonable to you and you really want one or the other, I'd say go for it. Wink

BTW don't know if this would be a factor, but the Williams one includes a vista-dome car. The NYC never had a vista-dome car (wouldn't fit thru their low tunnels) so the Lionel one is more prototypical.

Hello and thanks for the comments.  I didn't think the NYC had the vista domes, but hadn't been able to find the source where I first read it.

Thanks,

Bernard
