I'm still on this "people kick" for my O27 stuff so please bear with me. Do any of you use or have you had any experience with the Plasticville 'Paint-it-yourself' citizens/people? As always, many thanks.
I've painted quite a few PV figures, but I'd use other paint that what might come in the box – but that is mainly because I paint other figures with Tamiya for Plastic paints and want the colors to match (or at least not vary too wildly from other figures).

They look pretty good after painting. I agree use good paint. My tip: lay them out decide what colors you want to use and paint all the reds all the blues ect. then you are not spending most of your time cleaning brushes.

Here's a scene on my layout with painted Plasticville people. The people were painted by my Mom over 40 years ago and they still look good. She also made the cardboard buildings in the picture.

Bob: Sir James I: Thank you. Am encouraged.
Robert: Fantastic........Thanks so much for the photo.
I reccommend something like testors model paint. Wash them good with dish soap and then start with light colors (white shirts) then go to the dark colors. After done give them a clear flat coat. I did not do that the first time but will on the next layout. I had about 150 of the plasticville people on the old layout. Also you can get creative and trim them to make different looking people. I also painted some to resemble friends.

I painted a set of the figures using the paint enclosed and had no problems. They look great and blend in real nice with other figures I have.
