Hello, all,

This my first time actually posting pictures here so lets see how it goes...

Heres alot of my postwar and MPC era steamers

The F3s...

an LIRR train takes a stop on the carpet central. I canded the grill off this MP15 to make if an MP15AC which is more correct for the LIRR. I'll get pictures of that next week.

Seayakbill - what is the story on your Seattle & Yakima Alco?

It is a dual motored K-Line Alco that I repainted for the Seattle & Yakima RR.

The previous photo and this photo are of my annual Christmas train garden that stays up for three months. Apartment dwellers don't have space for a permanent layout but I make do with modular ones that can be stored.[View:http://cs.trains.com/trccs/themes/trc/utility/Photobucket:550:0]

Major,

That is an amazing night scene.  How big is your modular layout?

The layout size varies depending on how I arrange the room. The basic layout is seven feet by eleven feet but I attached an 18 inch wide by 11 foot wing on one side for some sidings and operating accessories  and a small two foot by one foot  platform in front for a station.  It consists of three  double track levels.  The lowest is O guage and the top two are S guage.  I have a number of Pre War Flyer sets and yes some Lionel and MTH trains I like to run.  I must run my 25th wedding anniversary gift of the MTH Aero Train! Hey it's SILVER and it is cool!   The structures are a mishmash of scratch, ceramic, S scale and small O scale kits along with Flyer and mini craft buildings.  Over all the effect works quite well.  I have over a dozen Miller Engineering animated signs. Growing up in Chicago I like the big city look, and that is what I have tried to achieve.   Of course my wife said that I cause a brownout in the neighborhood when I power it up.

I hope were ever that pic is they keep the car operable as thats one cool car and you don't see them often. To me that would be worth being restored befor a lot of other items.
