I bought an MTH G5 troop train set. the set is awesome but I cant figure out how the Scaletrax work. Theres 3 wires that go to the transformer. in the diagram it only shows 2. I cant figure out how it works. Any info helps.

The Scaletrax lockon has three wires-- the the red wire is center rail, the two black wires are the outside rails.  Just hook both blacks to the return post, and the red to the hot post . MTH made the connections that way due to the plastic ties that isolate the outside rails from each other. Atlas O is similar-- the "terminal track" that Atlas uses has the two outside rails connected internally.

If you have a chance check out "Black Diamond Railway II". His use of MTH's Scaletrax is awesome.
