Sign - Welcome  Heat the area where the coupler and pin meet with a hair dryer until the coupler loosens and moves freely.  Move the coupler up and down until the area cools down so that it doesn't have a chance to stick again.  The cause of the sticking, as well as the white coating that appears on these couplers and other plastic parts, is the mold release agent that Gilbert used.  To remove the residue from the surface of the couplers, heat as described above until it turns clear and wipe it away before it cools.

AF link couplers

On quite a few of my AF cars, the link couplers are frozen or very stiff. Any suggestions on loosening the links?
