My new Lionel FA-2's are up and running

I love the look of these bruts. They have a more square sholder style than the F-3's. I picked up the MKT set from Just Trains for 400.00 for the ABA. I finally got them cranked up and they are great, so smooth and powerfull. I have them pulling a string of 12 diecast coal cars and a K-line caboose. I will post pictures later today.

Great news, Bill. I have an old FA from an MPC-era trainset and while nothing close to what you have - I appreciate its looks as well.

Those units sure looked good in the catalog. I'm envious, Crossracer!

Glad to hear that. Do post some pictures. Love it when some of us [especially me [;)]] gets new engines.

Did you get the last set? I called them for a set last week and they told me they were sold out. I got them at NE trains for about the same price. I love them too. I need to dim the cab lights though. There was a message about doing that on another forum.
