Using Atlas O track for my layout. Have some vintage Lionel operating cars - horse corral, cattle corral, milk car - and need help with type of connector to use with Atlas track to activate these type of cars. Thanks

Atlas O track can be used with the Horse corral & the cattle corral. You will need to buy the accessory rails Atlas O part # 6097. price 16$. They fit into the 10" straight track, you just drill out the holes from the back side of the piece. The milk car operates the same, of course.  So you'll need three sets of rails. The main caveat is that the corrals may have to be modified, as the spacer clips are made to lock into tubular track so that the proper spacing is obtained. I think the milk platform will need to be modified too--

I wouldn't modify the platform or corral. The problem is the height of the Atlas track relative to the height of O-27 or O guage track. All you need to do is raise the Atlas track to the O-27 or O track height and you will be OK. You could use the Atlas to O-27 or Atlas to O track clips and just use the O-27 or O opperating track with the proper clips.

The Atlas O Accessory Rails are made for sliding shoe activated cars. The trick with the Cattle Cars, like the C&NW Cattle Car issued in 1998 is putting the right amount of voltage into the car and the accessory to make them operate together.
