Many, many, many posts on this subject before (please bear with me) but one last question.
Every year, about this time, I re-evaluate my present layout. Not wanting to leave the "tubular O27" world, I would like to add a little more realism. Based on your experience, what have you seen, made or purchased lately in the way of extra ties for these tracks?
As always, many thanks.
I got a little bit Of super K, if you don't know its basically 0-27 with extra more realistic ties, since it is no longer in production if you want some now may be the general time a few years from now you may have to settle for used if anyone is selling.
Popsicle sticks--that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

If you go to the main bar up top and click on "Videos & Reviews", the latest version of "Bob's Train Box" has some information on a company that offers some pre-made ties to add to your track.

Wise Man and Dennis: Thanks.
Bob: Great idea BUT the "Chief Engineer" says that I'm already eating too many popsicles.
I had a thread a while back on some track I was working on for a friend. It was basically hand laid track but used O-27 rail.

Fredswain: Darn it....I AM getting on in years. NOW, I remember the post (even remember copying some of the information) Thanks, so much.

You can buy packs of popsicle sticks at craft shops such as Michael's and A.C.Moore.
While you're there have a look around. I find many things there I use on the layout.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
If you just want to add more ties you can buy them from a company called 3 R plastics. They make plastic ties for O, 027 and AF track. I have some and they really improve the look of the track.
