Model Train Journal

I just got a PC to replace my Mac today (I'm one of the very rare Mac users who hates them). I thusly lost some of my passwords. Obviously I remember CTT; but forgot MTJ.

I surf several websites and would rank MTJ up there with CTT. A bit more colorful sometimes, however, if you are of the Puritan persuasion.

I often double or even triple post on several fora, which hopefully doesn't annoy anyone. If it does, then say la vee (phonetic spelling).

Congratulations on your new PC. Since you are one of the more prolific posters on MTJ, I'm sure Bill will be along shortly with your forum password. He wouldn't want to lose a contributor like you. [;)]

THanks, guys,

I'm having a lively discussion there with a fellow who wants to build an oil refinery model.

MTJ complements CTT nicely because there are topics on MTJ that normally wouldn't be found on CTT such as the guy going up in a spaceship and some nifty pictures of women and trains.

BTW, I got an email from MTJ with the password. Problem is I don't recall my user name either. I usually save all passwords on a CD Word doc but somehow MTJ fell thru the cracks.

THe only 3-rail forum I haven't visited is AOL and the reason is that I am not an AOL user.

OK, I'm back inside MTJ and all my new bookmarks are functioning well.

I also received my first spam mail today.

I have to leave in 10 minutes to catch my train so on MTJ and CTT, I'll have to give all my replies tomorrow.

I checked out the Model Train Journal forum. A lot of chit chat and sex mixed in with train talk. But the posters don't pretend to be a bunch of pompus know-it-alls like you will find on the OGR forum. Actually, it's refreshing to see people having a good time in this hobby.

I prefer the model train journal over OGR too. The MTJ webmaster has a sense of humor. He views as a bunch of guys having fun which is just what we are doing.

I prefer any forum over OGR. I don't see the others being censored like OGR.

There seem to be some sexual overtones at that site. As long as you don't shake hands with any of them, you should be fine.
