try to find them in closed auctions on Ebay,If they are Lionel, most, if not all of them will have numbers printed on the side or bottom.Use the numbers as a search key.Condtion is everything, and original boxes in nice condition will usually enhance the value.
My father-in-law passed away and his wife is needing to sell his trains. She has left me in charge of finding out what they are worth. That's where I need help. There are approximately 30 cars that I need help determining a value. There are none in boxes, but I know some have not been used in 30 years. Any suggestions on the best way to determine their value? Thanks for the help.
