Can u show pictures from which I can select? I have 5 hobo shantys so I'm not looking for any more of those, but I am looking for 3 small ready made campfires. My hobos have had their fill of drink and now are just cold...Can u help with campfires?

The hobos that have taken shelter at a nearby recreational campers campsite are starting to get on the campers nerves! LOL!

There was a guy on ebay a couple of weeks ago with old lead hobos for $2.99, I go one it is nice.  Artisa has several hobos.  Plasticville has an old shanty town building.

I have 2 sets of scenic express hobos which look fabulous and are perfect size and 3 different sets of hobo related addons ... hobo campfire = hobo jungle= a few shacks and a spare lit campfire addon . The scenic express hobos blend perfectly with all the lionel sets and are even better looking . My 2 cents  Plus their price is NOT  an arm and a leg compared to their competitor .... very highly detailed and perfect in looks also .

10-4 to that,

Now we have a lot of hobos and bums on the Coffee Pot thread.  Hobos like Jack [Rock Island] and Chuck M.  Bums are topped off by Don Baker, John F, Roy M, Buckeye and Jonel to list a few.

I like Scenic Express.

Chief......I am confused.  Since the Pot was your invention, does that make you the Chief Bum or the Chief Hobo? Wink

I think Artista would be your best source.  Unless of course the Chief offers you some of his stuff.  But don't pay too much attention to him, he gets confused easy.

May I suggest using Scenic Express for hobo figuires? Another thing to do is to find a beat-up freight car, spray painting to weather the car, and place it somewhere near a hobo setting.

If you are good with a propane torch you might be able to make a plastic building look like it went through a fire. Keep the flame away from the plastic just enuff to heat the plastic. Smoke from a lit candle held about a foot away may give you the smoke effect on the plastic building.

On the Hunt for Hobos and Bums

Hello there! I am trying to start a thread about hobos and bums.

In recent news, there are alot of homeless people out there, living from day-to-day...

You know when Enron went bust and then the Banking industry went belly-up....

Well, I thought of a way to let the larger community know just how it was affecting the average joe. By modeling it on my layout of course!

Any help with sites listing figures and shantys and lean-tos would do! I have yet to model a run down bank!
