Ready Made Trains BEEP modifications
Posted by Not_2_old_yet on Monday, June 28, 2010 11:56 PM

I have a couple of RMT BEEP locomotives that run on my small grandkid-friendly layout. These locomotives seem well built and they run good, but they are definitely no-frills. Has anyone in the forum community ever added sound to one of these locomotives?

At one time ERR was making RS and TMCC upgrades for the BEEP, you mite check at http://www.electricrr.com/ to see if they have anything.

I installed tmcc and sound into one of mine using the ERR kits, easy and well worth it!

I too have installed the ER upgrade on 2 Beeps.  It was more expensive than the Beep, but well worth it.  Currently I am installing some electric couplers.  (I had the couplers available, just a matter of mounting them, and they will plug directly into the TMCC board)

I did check out the ERR website, and they offer the Sound Commander 2 for 49.95. I will order one soon. Thanks for the information!
