Just thought I'd give a heads up to all my old pals that I am still alive and well, and have recently recommenced contstruction on my layout (which I havn't done much with in nearly 1 1/2 years, life of a teenager for you ) I have laid all my track and just got done wiring the switches. I am working on ballasting now.
Here are a few sneak pics for you!

Grayson!!!! Where the grits have you been hiding?

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.

Your setup is looking good, kid. Don't worry about us or the trains, we'll always be there when you're ready. Enjoy being young, only get one chance at that.
Grayson.....you buy the Corvette and we'll all volunteer to give you driving lessons.
Grayson,
Nice work and it is great to see your generation getting into them. Have fun and enjoy yourself. I agree with Jack on the Corvette.

I agree with jack on enjoy your self while you can trains will be here and so will most of us.
Now on the corvette I keep seeing this image of a bunch of old guys trying to see if they can relive the corvette and XKE at deadmans curve
Don't forget that early 1960s movie where heart throb blonde Tuesday Weld (of Dobie Gillis fame) takes some guy's E-Type convertible and smashes it at about 140 into a stone wall or some similarly immovable obstruction while she is committing suicide. Terrible waste of a Jaguar XKE
Glad to see you checking in. Thought about you this past week as we were heading to Orlando and I stopped for gas at a Shell station. Only a few around these parts of Georgia and I usually stop at Chevron or BP. Good that you are keeping with the trains. Lots of great knowledge comes from playing with them and fixing them. And it is a fun way to learn. We do have some friends on the east part of the state and hope to travel to visit Savannah and the Augusta area sometime soon. Perhaps we can catch up and say Hey.

Timboy magicman710: I think your ballasting looks very nice; neat, tidy and not over the top of the ties, like a lot of guys inadvertantly do. I also like the varigated coloration. Looks like you are mixing at least two different colors. I may have missed something, but what is your source for ballast? -Timboy

Thanks Timboy! The ballast is the "lightweight" light gray blend from Scenic Express. Fairly cheap too, 5 gallons is only around $60.
I'm also glad too see most of all the old "gang" is still here. Good to hear from you guys!

Wow, that is a great price and nice to be able to buy larger quantities. Wish Scenic Express had ballast in HO scale.
