Your setup is looking good, kid.  Don't worry about us or the trains, we'll always be there when you're ready.  Enjoy being young, only get one chance at that.

Don't forget that early 1960s movie where heart throb blonde  Tuesday Weld (of Dobie Gillis fame) takes some guy's E-Type convertible and smashes it at about 140 into a stone wall or some similarly immovable obstruction while she is committing suicide.  Terrible waste of a Jaguar XKE  Wink

Grayson,

Glad to see you checking in.  Thought about you this past week as we were heading to Orlando and I stopped for gas at a Shell station.  Only a few around these parts of Georgia and I usually stop at Chevron or BP.  Good that you are keeping with the trains.  Lots of great knowledge comes from playing with them and fixing them.  And it is a fun way to learn.
We do have some friends on the east part of the state and hope to travel to visit Savannah and the Augusta area sometime soon.  Perhaps we can catch up and say Hey.

Timboy

magicman710:  I think your ballasting looks very nice; neat, tidy and not over the top of the ties, like a lot of guys inadvertantly do.  I also like the varigated coloration.  Bow  Looks like you are mixing at least two different colors.  I may have missed something, but what is your source for ballast?

-Timboy

Thanks Timboy! The ballast is the "lightweight" light gray blend from Scenic Express. Fairly cheap too, 5 gallons is only around $60.

I'm also glad too see most of all the old "gang" is still here. Good to hear from you guys!

Wow, that is a great price and nice to be able to buy larger quantities.  Wish Scenic Express had ballast in HO scale.

Grayson,

I was wondering where you went.Smile  Nice work on the ballast.  I don't don't think I'd have the patience to get results that good.
