Has any of the manufactures ever made a Akron Caton & Youngstown Box car or any other freight cars.  I grew up in Akron and surrounding areas and remember seeing the freight cars as a kid and would like to have one running on the layout.

Yes, Lionel made one in 1992 as part of the "Feather River" Service Station Set.

Weaver did a PS-1 b/c, but don't know when it was made or the part number.

Found the part number, U2012 and U2112.

In the 1970's, Kris Model Trains made at least 10 different variations of an AC&Y boxcar.

I believe MTH cataloged an RS-1 and a hopper, but couldn't say if they were produced or not.
