Bent AF Track

I recently acquired some S-gauge American Flyer track.  During set up for a test run, I noticed that some of the track was bent, like it had been stepped on.  Is there any easy fix for this, or are these pieces of track goners?

I have found that bent S-scale track is pretty forgiving as far as ride goes, so the only real problem is loss of power while running over uneven track.  I haven't had much luck straightening it out.

I would success in straightening the track is directly related to how badly it is bent.  If you post a few photo's better advice on how to straighten, or if it can be straightened, could be offered.  I have fixed ties that were pretty badly bent and taken twists out of rails that were out of whack.

What I have done with AF track and Lionel three rail is to swap the rails out by prying open the ties and combine two pieces of track to make one useable section of track. Like timboy mentioned you might just have to cut the section of track to remove the badly bent or damaged section.
