Doug,
Thanks. It worked. Somehow it seems that people that write sofware assume all of us understand what they are doing. I have been writing software since 1964, and nothing has changd.

Bruce, I can't speak for the other sites since I've only used Shutterfly, I'm computer iliterate what more can I say. The photos that I want to use I upload to Shutterfly from my computer. Open your "photo album" on Shutterfly, the photos will be displayed in a thumbnail style, open the photo that you want to post, left click on the photo, right click on properties, highlight and copy the address(URL). Right click on the "tree looking" icon(insert/edit image) , left click on the "image URL block" (this will open a drop down menu), right click on paste. Scroll to the bottom of page and click on "post".
Hope this helped.

Apparently, the picture size is limited. Does anyone know what the limits are?
Only 3 digits are allowd for the picture size.
OK, when I click on the icon that looks likea tree, it opens a small window and wants a lof of information. What goes in all the little boxes? What is the image URL? Is it the URL for the page where the picturs are / the picture ID? What is the "image description?" What is the Alignment? etc. I guess I can screw around with until it works, but that is generally a slow process.
Thanks
PhilaKnight I know there was a post about a virus on Photobucket. Does anyone know if it was taken care of?

After I heard about that in January, I was terrified to use Photobucket for a few months. But, over the course of the last few days, I uploaded some diagrams to it for some posts on the forum. I had no problems or bad results or viruses or whatever. Interestingly, Photobucket never acknowledged the problem, but some of the blogs said that the web site took quick action to clear up any problems.

Rich nailed it.
I use two windows, one for CTT and a second for Shutterfly, and just toggle back and forth. Copy links then paste.
servoguyCan someone tell me how to post pictures? Thanks Bruce Baker
Bruce,
As far as I can determine, the forum will not permit you to post photos directly onto the thread you create or respond to. What I do, and I think that this is the recommended procedure, is to upload photos to a third party server like Photobucket, then link the Image to the forum through the use of the Insert/edit Image button (the icon that looks like a tree) right above the Message area of your intended post.
