Timboy,

I don’t cut them, I cover them.  I take a piece of cardboard like from a cereal box and trim it to match the contour of the switch and then fold over the edge where the terminals are, with small holes to poke the terminal screws through.  Once cut to fit, I make a paste of Elmer’s glue and water and cover the cardboard the dust scenic grass.  Once in place a little lichen covering the terminals and it is covered.

Here is another shot

Great photo's this week everyone, keep them coming.  I haven't done much again this week, I really need to get back to work on the layout, so I decided to run some mint cars to break myself in slowly. Laugh

Well folks it was a beautiful spring day here in Central Wisconsin.  And it couldn't be any finer anywhere then here on the Blueboard Central Division of American Flyer Lines.  My wife and I went for a walk in the woods and spotted all kinds of woodland flowers in bloom.  Its a bit early since the weather has been so warm and dry here.

It seems that the warm weather brought out all kinds of motive power as well.  I took a stroll to one of my favorite train watching spots just at the edge of town near the yards.  I positioned myself near the tracks with my Kodak Brownie, and I wasn't disappointed.  I thought I would share with you some of what I saw this afternoon.

Management has made some interesting purchases of used equipment from other railroads lately.  I never thought I would see anything from the Pennsylvania Railroad up here in the northwoods.

It was a great day of train watching until I spotted the sad tale that this last batch of pictures records.

It looks like Management was sending old 425 to the scrap yard.

Its a sad day when you see an old work horse being sent to the torch.

Have a great week folks,

Jim,

The placement of your 771 and 766 looks great.Thumbs Up  I wish I had room to use mine.

Here is my contribution for the week.  I took the SIT 312 off its shelf and ran it a bit.

That is a great looking layout in progress.

What brand are the track and turnouts? And what  are you laying it on?
