traindaddy1Would like to know what you think is "hot" in the Postwar World. (ie. latest trend / a must have) As always, thanks.
Whatchoo talkin 'bout Willis?
The war has been over for 65 years.
You better elaborate on your question, not sure what you are asking about.

In this new Post War world, bomb shelters are a must have!!!
Would have to agree with much of what Masco says. One thought, Lionel puts a lot of thought into the releases of the "Conventional Classics". I think that if you were to look at the releases over the last few years, those would be a good list of if not most popular, certainly ones in very high demand.

Probably most items w/ 50+ yo insulation
Ever hear of this place for doing your own research? . Prices/demand reset daily the old fashoned way, ... not by me2, me3, me4 polls
traindaddy1,
I think that what is hot in PW Lionel hasn't changed. Things like 773s, ZWs, and Santa Fe F3s just to name a few have been and will be continue to be in demand. Although the prices for some of the more common items have gone through the floor in some cases, the high ticket items really haven't been affected.
As Frank Petruzzo said in one of Tom McComas' videos about this hobby "The loner loses". I certainly believe that is true in more ways than one about this hobby, and that the more opinions you get on something, the better off you are.
msaccoTrain Daddy, Nothing wrong with this thread. Not sure why you received the sarcasm. Some People. Mike S.
Sorry, I was first to respond and I regret the "sarcasm". I was just looking for some clarification on the term "postwar". I certainly could have said so more discreetly. As I have followed the serious responses, I have regretted my intial response more and more. No offense intended. My apologies.
Rich: (Appreciate the note)
Like they say in my neighborhood...."Forget about it" All is well!
Still luv all you guys.
Everybody has their own opinion but a 2046 with a 2046w tender, both in good shape and in good working order would be something to get and hold on to.
