Shimming the track off the Hellgate

Hello everyone and happy weekend!

I just set up my hellgate bridge over the center access to my layout and I noticed that the track coming off the bridge is not flush with the benchwork table top. I think I can use my vinylbed to make up for the distance, but having a dual roadbed may look a bit weird.

I say if it makes you happy - do it!

If you want a suggestion, cut from a sheet of Woodland Scenics roadbed (they sell it in big sheets too), to the exact size of the roadbed plate in the bridge. Then, run the other roadbed on top of that.

It won't look double-stacked then, and it would look satisfactory.

Thanks! I used my vinyl roadbed and it worked without doubling it. I have it under each section of track and it looks okay.
