My issue arrived today. My six-year-old son and I quickly looked at some of the photos, but we did not have time today to really dig into it. I am looking forward to Kent and Carl's article. Joe

That's a pretty nice track plan on p60/61.  Kind of cluttered but nothing that can't be fixed by pulling the turntable, the roundhouse and the attending tracks.

Great issue!  Really enjoyed the Madison Hardware article. Having been there regularly from childhood until they closed their doors, I have to say that just the mention of the place warms my heart!!!

Thanks for the info. It makes sense now since my subscription is for only nine issues. Joe

Yep, we're heading into the toy train off-season...luckily I've just discovered Railfests.

No.  And there won't be a June nor an August.

The 027 layout article looks good.

I too got mine today.  Others have written about getting their's too.  I think that the editors try to put photos of actual reader's layouts on the cover.  I am sure they go with what they have and being that the Santa Fe F3 is the most popular engine, probably goes that many folks have them on their layout.

May 2010 issue arrived!

Wow, I can't believe that I'm the first to post on the issue's arrival in the mail today. It has a nice Father's Day theme to it. Many articles on fathers sons and grandsons modeling building and operating their layouts together. My complaint is on the cover! Yet another Santa Fe F3! I know all about the significance of this model, but let's get real. This is a dynamic hobby. It should be evident on the cover of the premier magazine in the large scale hobby. There was a good review of the Amtrak HHP8 set inside. Why couldn't that become a cover girl?
