How big of a table do you need to recreate CTT"s Retro Railroad with FasTrack? Anybody have a parts list for the track pieces needed? Anyone have a layout schematic?
I think this may have been addressed on this forum or in the pages of CTT but the maid who cleans my house threw away all my back issues of CTT. Sheesh! Should I look for a new maid? Women just don't understand.
Did a "Community Search" for "retro layout" and good grief, there's enuff reading to keep you busy for awhile.

Thanks DDG. My search was "Retro Railroad" not "Retro Layout". I'l give your search topic a try.

The track plan was in the December 2009 CTT, i would scan it for you but I don't know the copyright issues with doing that. The plan for Fastrack needs a 5 by 9 space. Frankly, I don't know where you can get a 5 by 9 piece of plywood, I needed to piece together two 4 by 8 pieces to do a 5 by 9 Lionel Display Layout, so I just expanded it to 6 by 10 since I needed two pieces of plywood.
While I like the retro layout, I would adjust the track plan to allow two trains to run completely independently rather than bottle-up at the lower right corner. Dave
