Posted by LILarry on Friday, March 12, 2010 3:36 PM

Just picked up a 8911 union pacific switcher at a yard sale

Does anyone know what light bulb it takes

                                      Thanks

I tried ,but found no lights in general for some similar switchers.Yours is a 1993. Does it have a screw or bayonet base? A screw bulb is a # 52 at 14 volts But it may be a micro bulb where the socket is a lot smaller.

Thanks Bob

It turned out to be a18v grain of wheat bulb with wires

I better stick to my postwar trains

                                        Thanks again!

If you have the room you can go with a conventional base and bulb. I tried to find it  in the jungle of the  Lionel supplementals but came up short.
