Lumber shed structure
Posted by auaero97 on Friday, March 5, 2010 12:28 PM

I recently purchased "Lionel Accessories at Work on Toy Train Layouts" and on page 47 there is a picture of what I would call a lumber shed next to the 164 log loader.  The picture is of Dick Baker's layout.  Would anyone know where one could obtain such a model in O gauge or will it have to be scratch built?  I know Lionel made a plastic one back in the 80's, but I was wanting something a little more substantial.  I am still in the planning phase of my layout and am trying to decide on what industries to include.  I was able to recently purchase the 164 log loader, 397 coal loader, and the 345 culvert unloader so that is narrowing in on the industries that I want to have present.  Any help would be appreciated.

I havent seen that article - BUT if you are talking about the small Lumber Shed that has a 2-level storage area, and a small shed roof off the one side, that particular item is an OOP Lionel build-it kit. There is one on ebay right now, search for Lionel Lumber Shed Kit.
