lunch at the new UP HQ
Posted by aiireland on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 2:28 PM
had lunch today at the new UP building in Omaha. Pretty nice place. Lunch was good (they ran out of the BBQ chicken pizza so i had the noodles) and came out under $5.00. There was some congestion at the check-out. 5 cash registers 1 person working. (kinda par for the course at UP) Over all it was a great lunch and it was nice being surrounded by all of their copyrighted logos.

Hope they end up(trademark infringement?) eating some crow.[C=:-)]

I guess they really do need the money, so they can hire some more staff for the lunchroom. The licensing fees should just about take care of the payroll to reduce those checkout delays. To hell with the late freight, no UP employee should have to endure long lines while their lunch gets cold.[swg]

Traffic congestion is also present at the check out in their brand new cafeteria as well as on the mainlines? Maybe they should follow their normal crisis management when faced with a manpower shortage and sue the local Pizza Hut for copying their pizza recipe.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.
