Tim, I used that article and the original plan found in Bantam's lionel model railroading plan to make mine. Moving the large loop's right switch back was a great tip from the CTT article. I added sidings and other things. Yes, it's a lot of fun, but like every other plan it has it's limitations. All 031 turns nothing wider. Mike S.

Hi - You know i thought it rang a bell, dug up my old book of 'torn out' pages of plans - The Two-Sheet plan - CTT - DEC of 2001, Its really neat to see the video, and realize this is a fun plan! Thanks

Tim, they're only 4x8s so for the short leg I just reach over and occasionally have to climb on for real deep stuff. But the other leg is not against the wall so I can squeeze behind. thanks, Mike

Thats really a neat layout - so - as I ponder my next steps, I have to ask - how do you get to the back parts? Layout on castor wheels and moves away from the walls? And is this two 4x8's size?

I really like that track plan. Looks like quite a bit of action in a pretty small space.

Thanks for sharing,

voltage meter for the new zw. don't believe they make it anymore. there was also one for postwar ZWs. Amperage meter is not accurate but voltage is how I monitor train speed in conventional. Got real used to it. Mike

Nice video! Question though: what is the red, digital display in front of your ZW? I'm intrigued...:)

Well it's been about two years since I've done anything substantial on my layout. I've just been running trains seasonally. Well I hooked up some more things and finished my mountain/tunnel. Came out nice. Getting ready to start scenic work but have to get backdrops in place first.
